IN THE PROGRAM ON 22 JUNE CARMEN, TO WHICH WILL FOLLOW AIDA, NABUCCO, TURANDOT AND THE BARBER OF SEVILLE.

From June 22nd to August 26th 2018, for 47 evenings, the Arena of Verona Opera Festival is planning a new production of Carmen, the work of Georges Bizet among the best known and represented in the world, which will inaugurate the season Arena. Carmen will follow Aida - proposed in two different productions - and Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, Turandot by Giacomo Puccini and Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Gioachino Rossini, and two Special Opera Night. Fondazione Arena advises that from 16 May to 24 December 2017 tickets can be purchased at a reduced price to attend these shows scheduled for 2018.

Carmen, inaugurates the season on 22 June, is proposed for 13 evenings, with replies on 29 June, 6, 11, 15, 17, 21 July and 3, 9, 12, 16, 22, 25 August. On June 23 Aida debuted, proposed for 7 dates in the impressive staging conceived by Franco Zeffirelli and enriched by the costumes of Anna Anni. Replicas on June 28th, and on the 8th, 10th, 14th, 19th and 22nd of July. The third title in program for 5 performances from 30 June is Turandot, also signed and directed by Franco Zeffirelli, with costumes by the Oscar Emi Wada. Replicas on 5, 13, 18 and 26 July. From July 7 for 6 appointments Nabucco returns in the setting that inaugurates the 2017 Festival for the direction and costumes of Arnaud Bernard and the scenes of Alessandro Camera. Aida returns from July 27th for 9 performances in the historical edition inspired by the staging of 1913 and signed by Gianfranco de Bosio, with choreography by Susanna Egri. Finally, from 4 August for 5 evenings Il Barbiere di Siviglia transforms the Roman amphitheater in the large garden designed by Hugo de Ana in 2007, with the fun choreographies of Leda Lojodice.
